Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do you shoot digital or film?

I specialize in shooting medium format and 35mm film, which gives your wedding photos a timeless, romantic quality with beautiful color and texture. I do carry a digital camera when needed, but 90% of your wedding coverage will be on film.

2. Why choose film photography?

Film has a unique way of capturing light, skin tones, and emotions that’s hard to replicate digitally. It creates soft, dreamy images with an organic feel that stands the test of time—perfect for such an important day.

3. Will we receive digital copies of our photos?

Yes! All film negatives are professionally scanned at high resolution. You'll receive your images in a private online gallery where you can download, share, and print your photos.

4. How many photos will we receive?

You can expect 400–600 carefully edited images for a full wedding day. I focus on quality over quantity, delivering a curated set that tells your full story beautifully.

5. How long does it take to get our photos?

Because I work with professional film labs and hand scan the film, my turnaround time is a little longer than digital photographers—typically 8 to 12 weeks.

6. What happens if it rains or there’s bad weather?

Rainy days can be incredibly romantic! Film handles soft, diffused light beautifully. I’ll also scout indoor and covered locations ahead of time to ensure we can still capture stunning images regardless of weather.

7. Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely! I’m based in [City/Region], but I love traveling for weddings and elopements. Whether you’re tying the knot in the mountains, countryside, or abroad, I’d love to come along. Travel fees vary depending on location.

8. Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes! Engagement sessions are a great way for us to get to know each other and for you to get comfortable in front of the camera. I shoot engagements on film as well, and they can be added to any wedding package.

9. What’s required to book?

To reserve your date, I require a signed contract and a 30% non-refundable retainer. The remainder is due two weeks before the wedding.

10. Can we meet before booking?

Of course! I offer complimentary consultations via phone, Zoom, or in person. It’s important that you feel confident and comfortable with your photographer—we’ll be spending a lot of time together on your big day!
